How to make it
4 steps. Take it one step at a time.
Bring 500 ml of water
In a small saucepan, bring 500 ml (2 cups) of water to a boil at 212°F (100°C).
Add 4 tablespoons of the grain coffee blend
Add 4 tablespoons of the grain coffee blend to the boiling water. Reduce heat and simmer gently for about 3-5 minutes to extract the full aroma.
5 minRemove the saucepan from the heat
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Cover and let it steep for another 2 minutes to allow the grounds to settle at the bottom.
2 minPour the coffee carefully
Pour the coffee carefully into mugs, using a fine-mesh strainer if necessary. Add milk and honey to taste.
A little kitchen wisdom
Traditional grain coffee (like Polish Inka or Anatol) is a staple for those seeking a caffeine-free alternative. Brewing it on the stove provides a deeper, toasted flavor compared to instant versions.
