How to make it
3 steps. Take it one step at a time.
Brew one shot of espresso directly
Brew one shot (30 ml (1 oz)) of espresso directly into your serving cup.
Pour 120 ml of cold milk
Pour 120 ml (1/2 cup) of cold milk into a steaming pitcher. Use the steam wand of your espresso machine to steam the milk to 149°F (65°C), creating a thick, micro-foam head.
Tap the pitcher and swirl
Tap the pitcher and swirl to incorporate the foam. Pour the steamed milk over the espresso shot, starting in the center and finishing with a dollop of thick foam on top.
A little kitchen wisdom
For the best result, use whole milk to get a creamy texture and stable foam. Ensure your espresso machine is preheated before brewing the shot.
